Abstract

Alternative processing of heavy metals in laboratory wastewater by adsorption. The objective of this was to determine the effectiveness of adsorption from eggshell powder, zeolite, and combine eggshell powder-zeolite adsorbents in laboratory wastewater. The reactor used is a PVC pipe with a diameter of 4 dim and a pipe height of 30 cm and the height of each adsorbent there in is 15 cm. The efficiency of reducing Mn concentration in the eggshell powder reactor, zeolite, and combine eggshell powder-zeolite was 47.48%, 54.60%, and 49.56%, respectively. The efficiency of reducing Cd concentration in the eggshell powder reactor, zeolite, and combine eggshell powder-zeolite was 19.53%, 56.70%, and 43.30%, respectively. All reactors have a maximum reduction in concentration at a time of 120 minutes immersion. © 2022 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
